You can use a lead crystal container such as a decanter to store beverages. However, we do not recommend using these items for long-term storage. We also recommend that you prepare your lead crystal decanters or other lead crystal containers prior to use by following these guidelines:

Allow equal parts of vinegar and water to sit overnight in items used for food or beverage storage.
