Crystal food service items containing lead are referred to as lead crystal. Lead crystal contains 24% lead. Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in lead crystal products can potentially expose you to lead. We recommend following these care and use instructions for your new lead crystal items:

• Wash with a liquid dish soap and water before initial use.
  
• Allow equal parts vinegar and water to sit overnight in items used for food or beverage storage. It is not recommended to use lead crystal for long-term food or beverage storage.
  
• Not recommended for use by children or pregnant women.
